21” x 17” Cyanotype, bleached, on watercolor paper
Gertrude's Swamp is my best friends back yard. The swamp changes colors, throughout every day as the sun moves, and every season as the wildlife changes. It is an enchanting garden to play and imagine, as we escape into a lush and sultry wonderland.
The legend is that when Spanish explorers saw Florida for the first time, they believed that the wetlands held the Fountain of Youth.
In a poetic way, they were right.
